Nest box success

I popped my head in at Sustead Common this morning and was delighted to see a Blue Tit using one of the nest boxes we installed only a few weeks ago! It was visiting every couple of minutes with nesting material. Also in the vicinity, a Blackcap - one of our earliest returning summer breeding birds, singing from various song-posts, marking his territory. Only the male has a black cap, females and youngsters have chestnut brown caps.
